Discussion & Assessment

Discussion Permissions

Discussions/assessments can be attached to any content block in Segue. The site owner can specify precisely who can participant in these discussions.

Discussion Display

Discussions/assessments can be sorted by Recent First, Recent Last, Rating and Author. Site owners also have the option to rate each and every post.

Discussion Settings

Discussions/assessment have a number of settings.  The author of discussion posts can be shown or hidden.  A discussion is  can be set to display all posts to all participants or hidden to all but the site owner

Discussion Summary

Summaries of all discussions/assessments including:
-all the posts to a given discussion/assessment
-all the posts to all discussions/assessment on a given site
-all the posts by a given author.

Discussion Email

Site owners can email all discussion participants or any subset of these participants

Enabling Discussion/Assessment

How to enable discussion/assessment…
To enable discussion/assessment on a given content block, do the following:

  1. When adding or editing a content block, click on the link to discuss/assess
  2. Check the box to enable discussion
  3. Chose other discussion options (Show or Hide Authors, Discussion or Assessment mode)
  4. Specify who can participant in this discussion

Site owners can get a summary of discussion/assessment posts and/or email all or any subgroup of participant do the following:

  1. Go to a discussion/assessment on your site
  2. Click on the link to Summary in the Discussion/Assessment header
    a) click on any participant’s name to see all posts by that participant
    b) check boxes for any participant(s) that you would like to email and click email checked
