The challenge as they see it is in the management of all<br \/>\nthis information which they envision can only be accomplished by an<br \/>\n\u201cinformation ecology\u201d that focuses on organically building shared<br \/>\nknowledge stores from the bottom up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"4\">Segue allows individuals to create their own organizational schema&#8230;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><span>Segue is designed first and<br \/>\nforemost for the development of such individual repositories with<br \/>\nstrong support for the hierarchical and chronological or sequential<br \/>\norganization of evolving content granules. In addition, Segue allows<br \/>\nits users to attach <a href=\"https:\/\/segue.middlebury.edu\/view\/html\/site\/achapin-nitle\/?&amp;site=segue&amp;section=5736&amp;page=22633&amp;action=site\" target=\"_blank\">discussions\/assessments<\/a> of their content granules using an interface modeled on the commenting systems of many weblog tools.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"4\">Segue repositories are built from content nodes in a hierarchy&#8230;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><span>Content granules are<br \/>\nessentially nodes in a hierarchy which provides their organizational<br \/>\nstructure and context. As such they can moved anywhere in that<br \/>\nhierarchy or can be moved to any other hierarchy the given user has<br \/>\naccess or in a given instance of Segue.
