Overview

Concerto is an open source digital asset management management system developed at Middlebury College.  Assets within Concerto are managed by means of collections and exhibitions and can be assigned both structured and unstructured metadata.

Concerto users can be assigned authorizations including permission to view, edit and tag assets, as well as permission to assign authorizations to other users.  These authorizations are very granular and can be applied to entire collections and exhibitions or to individual assets and slideshows.  Concerto can be configured to use LDAP for authentication and can apply authorizations to any group defined in an LDAP implementation.Concerto is build on top of Harmoni, a PHP open source service-oriented application framework that includes common services such as authentication, authorization, repository management implemented in accordances with the open service interface definitions as specified by the Open Knowledge Initiative (O.K.I).  To learn more about Concerto, browse the feature tour below:
