{"id":1103,"date":"2011-06-14T17:27:05","date_gmt":"2011-06-14T21:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.middlebury.edu\/segue\/?p=1103"},"modified":"2023-06-11T23:31:22","modified_gmt":"2023-06-11T23:31:22","slug":"moodle-middlebury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/segueproject.org\/segue-migration\/2011\/06\/14\/moodle-middlebury\/","title":{"rendered":"Moodle @ Middlebury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/moodle.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moodle<\/a> has been selected as the primary learning management system (LMS) for Middlebury College. \u00a0Other LMS platforms considered were <a href=\"http:\/\/sakaiproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sakai<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackboard.com\/Platforms\/Learn\/Overview.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blackboard<\/a>. \u00a0The Curricular Technology (CT) team researched these three LMS platforms extensively and organized a pilot program that involved over 20 faculty and more than 300 students.<\/p>\n<p>Surveys of pilot participants indicated that more faculty and students who completed the survey considered Moodle the most useful and easy to use of the LMS platforms piloted.
