Audio can be shared with others in a variety of ways on the web. Audio files can be uploaded to Segue and WordPress and included in sites created with these applications.  These files can then be listened to on the sites they were uploaded to or as podcasts that are downloaded via RSS to media applications such as iTunes and then synchronized with mobile media devices such as iPods.

Segue has an audio plugin that can be used to upload mp3 files to a Segue site.  The audio plugin provides access to the audio file through an audio player that allows users to listen to the audio track on the website.  In addition the audio files is added to the RSS feed for that page and so can be downloaded as a podcast.<\/p>\n

To add an audio file to your Segue site, do the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Click on + Content link where you want to add an audio clip<\/li>\n
  2. Chose Audio Clip from the list of plugin types<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the Select MP3 file button and upload an MP3 audio file<\/li>\n
  4. Click the Use button to use the audio file<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: Segue will be phased out over the next year or so.  That said, we will be offering migration tools to help move sites created in Segue to other platforms. For more information, see: Segue from Segue<\/a><\/em>

    Audio in WordPress<\/h3>\n

    WordPress handles audio files in the same way as Segue and links to audio files in a WordPress entry will appear in the RSS feed and can also be downloaded as podcasts.<\/p>\n
