The Categories widget allows you to add a list of categories to one of the sidebars of your site.<\/p>\n

  1. Go to your blog Dashboard<\/li>\n
  2. Click on Appearance > Widgets in your Dashboard left sidebar<\/li>\n
  3. Drag the\u201d Categories\u201d widget from the \u201cAvailable Widgets\u201d area onto one of your sidebar areas<\/li>\n
  4. Configure the widget and click its \u201cSave\u201d button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Categories widget has an option for displaying categories in a dropdown list menu (instead of displaying the list of all categories in the sidebar). \u00a0Use this if you don’t want to use as much space.<\/p>\n

    Other options are to show the number of posts in each categories and whether or not to show as a hierarchy whereby sub-categories will be displayed indented beneath top level categories).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
