The Computer Adaptive Test for Reading Chinese (CATRC) is a multiple choice computer-adaptive exam that assesses reading comprehension. The test will continue to give you questions of varying difficulty until it determines the level which best represents your ability.
Given the adaptive nature of this test, you may spend from 5 minutes to 3 hours, depending on your ability to read Chinese. There is no time limit on the test but you should plan to take this exam in one session. All questions can be displayed in either simplified or traditional characters. You are expected to take this exam without the aid of dictionaries, online translators, etc.
