Middlebury users had come to expect tools that allowed them to organize their content hierarchical. Prior to developing database-driven web applications, we had created sites that made use of the common navigational layout of site sections across the top, each of which had any number of pages with links to these being displayed in a left column sidebar.
Early versions of Segue recreated this common navigational layout. Later versions added option to add links in either the left or right sidebar, as well as include sections in sidebar with links to their pages nested within. More recent versions add support for sidebar RSS feeds and various types of content aggregation.
