Middlebury has a number of tools available for online assessments and surveys. These tools allow you to create a set of questions for people to answer and then aggregate those answers and do statistical analysis of the answers.
Measure
Measure is an instance of the Moodle course management system that we have customized for use at Middlebury College. Measure allows you to create online quizzes. The quizzes can have different question types including multiple choice, cloze (i.e. fill-in-the-blank), short answer and essay type questions.

Key Survey
KeySurvey is an online survey tool for academic and administrative uses. It allows you to ask a group of people a set of questions. Questions can be of various types such as multiple choice, cloze (i.e. fill-in-the-blank) and short answer. KeySurvey as some specific usage policies including:
- When creating a survey, you must explain your objectives and procedures, and any risks and benefits to the respondents.
- As you conduct surveys, you have the responsibility of protecting the rights of the respondents.
- You must protect the confidentiality, and respect the privacy, of the respondents.
