Mobile media devices such as iPods introduce new ways to produce, organize and deliver language learning resources.  The Middlebury College Language Schools have edited and reformatted many of their existing audio and video collections to maximize their effectiveness on mobile devices, adding metadata so that lesson tracks are organized into albums, adding notes or transcripts that students can view while listening, as well as teaching students how to use ratings and smart playlists to track their learning.
