The WordPress video plugin allows you to embed video clips from popular video sharing sites such as YouTube and Vimeo. When the plugin is activated, video clips can be embedded by using “short code” abbreviations. Here are some common ones:
YouTube
[youtube id] or with configurable size [youtube id width height]
For example to embed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ped8i42EVvU
Type into your blog post: [youtube ped8i42EVvU]
Vimeo
[vimeo id width height]
For example to embed: http://vimeo.com/12109185
Type into your blog post [vimeo 12109185]
