Segue Collaborative Learning System
Segue is an open source “collaborative learning system” for developing individual and institutional digital repositories along a publication continuum. Segue’s customizable, hierarchical, granular design and structuring of content makes it an excellent general purpose content management system for courses and blogs, archives and exhibitions, collections and research.

Open Source Partnerships

The Open Knowledge Initiative (OKI) has defined standards for system interoperability that are being implemented in various open source projects including the Sakai project, Tufts Visual Understanding Environment (VUE), Lionshare and the next generation of the Segue Collaborative Learning System (CLS). We will discuss the implications of OKI standards in general and in particular will look at Harmoni, a PHP implementation of OKI open service interface definitions (OSID) that is designed particularly for the rapid development of standards-based PHP curricular systems in small liberal arts colleges.
