Sites

segue-sites01.pngSegue is a general purpose content management system that can be used courses, e-portfolios, blogs, wikis, research, resources and so on.

Personal Sites
By default, users with regular accounts in Segue can create as many personal sites as the want and can specify very precisely what parts of their site are accessible to others and what kind of access others have, whether it be to simply view the content in that part of the site, or post to discussions or add, edit or delete content.

Course Sites
When integrated with an institution’s course and student information systems, Segue can function as a course management system and display for faculty and students all the courses they are participating in.  Faculty then have the option of creating a site for any of their courses which then appears in the Segue home page of all students in that course.

Faculty can use these sites to create course blogs and wikis or do podcasting.  Course content can be organized hierarchically through sections and pages and/or associatively through tags.
