Setting Options

Segue has many different options for the display of content blocks.  Options can be set site-wide, or at the level of sections, pages or content blocks.  Options include whether or not to display titles, creation and modification dates, names of authors and/or editors, how to sort pages and content blocks, how to arrange them on the page and so on.  Options set at the site level apply everywhere on the site by default, but can be easily changed for particular sections/pages/content blocks.  Similarly, options set in a section apply to all pages within that section and options set for a page apply to all content blocks in that page.

Below is an example of how to set up a page to function like a blog.  This involves sorting content blocks with recent blocks first, enabling discussions of blocks and displaying the names of authors and dates created.

  1. Click on the edit link at the top of the page
  2. Move your mouse over the top of the page’s content container
  3. Click on Options at the top of the content container
  4. Set the following options:
    • Discussions: yes
    • Dates: Date Created
    • Attribution: Original Author
    • Sort: Recent First
