Managing Placeholders

Creating Placeholders for Visitors

The following steps are taken after a visitor has registered an account in Segue.

  1. Log in as an administrator
  2. Go to Admin Tools –> Browse Placeholders
  3. Enter the name of the new placeholder in the Create/Edit a Placholder field. This name is up to your organizations naming scheme and could be anything from’swimteam’ to ‘johndoe_example_edu-portfolio’. Names can only contain letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores.
  4. click the Create/Edit button
  5. In the Create/Edit Placeholder screen go to the Owner section and search for the visitors email address.
  6. After finding their account, click the + Add button next to their name.
  7. Change any other options such as location category or media quota as appropriate.
  8. Click the Save button.

The site will appear for the visitor on their Portal under Other Sites.
