Creating Placeholders for Visitors
The following steps are taken after a visitor has registered an account in Segue.
- Log in as an administrator
- Go to Admin Tools –> Browse Placeholders
- Enter the name of the new placeholder in the Create/Edit a Placholder field. This name is up to your organizations naming scheme and could be anything from’swimteam’ to ‘johndoe_example_edu-portfolio’. Names can only contain letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores.
- click the Create/Edit button
- In the Create/Edit Placeholder screen go to the Owner section and search for the visitors email address.
- After finding their account, click the + Add button next to their name.
- Change any other options such as location category or media quota as appropriate.
- Click the Save button.
The site will appear for the visitor on their Portal under Other Sites.
