Adding Video

There are a number of ways to add video to your Segue site.  If you just want to make a video accessible from your site for download, then you can just add it to your Media Library and include it on your site as a "File" block (see: Adding Files).

You can also embed video clips in your Segue site from common video sharing sites such as YouTube, Google, Vimeo and Hulu.  To do this, simply copy the "embed" code from these sites (Figure 1 shows an example of embed code from YouTube), and paste this into the source view of a "Text & Images" content block. (see below for instructions)

Faculty, students and staff at Middlebury can upload videos to MiddMedia and and include in their Segue site. (see below for instructions)

Instructions

Embedding video from MiddMedia (Middlebury users only)

1. Click on Embed Audio/Video button 2. Click on the MiddMedia tab and browse your MiddMedia files or upload a new file 3. Click on the Use button for the video you want to use

Embedding video from video sharing sites

1. Copy the "embed" code from a video sharing site such as YouTube, Google, Vimeo

2. Click on the Segue editor "Source" tool.

3. Paste the video sharing site’s "embed" code into the Segue editor
