 Segue is a general purpose content management system that can be used courses, e-portfolios, blogs, wikis, research, resources and so on.To help users get started, templates are available. Templates are simply Segue sites that have been selected by a Segue administrator to be templates.
Templates may have any number of sections, pages and content blocks and may include specific content display options. For example a “blog” template would contain a page for the blog entries that has its options set to display content block authors and the date created, would sort content blocks in reverse chronological order (i.e. recent first) and would have discussion enabled.Templates are just starting points for new sites. Since the template is a copy of an existing site, users are free to modify the template to suite their needs. |
